Calesa in Vigan.

It was a tremendous trip to Vigan where we travelled almost 3 1/2 hours from my second home in Aringay, La Union and more or less 5 1/2 hours from the town of Paniqui. The distance from Paniqui to Vigan is more or less 265 km.Very long stretched road when you reached Ilocos Sur province starting from its first town Tagudin down to Santa which still 8km from Vigan City. Awesome views will be seen before reaching the province which i really enjoyed a lot while i was driving.

Vigan city is rich with natural, geographical and traditional heritage. Among the top spot tourist destinations were Crisologo Avenue (or Heritage City), Crisologo museum, Padre Burgos museum, Bell Tower, Old Cathedrals, Vigan or Padre Burgos Plaza, Baluarte (owned by Chavit Singson) and the Burnayan.Antique houses and furnitures were preserved and built during the Spanish era were one of my fave. I was amazed also for restos and fastfood places as they were also preserved antiques houses and just converted it to business area.Try also riding calesa and eat thier bagnet and longganisa and of course chichacorn for your pasalubong flavored with cheese. T-shirts would be fine, too. Just don't forget to checked-in at El Juliana's Hotel when you go there. Just enough for your budget..hehe.

Some of our photos for my share.
